Terms of Service
Last updated: October 2026You get a free, personal, non-exclusive license to use the Extension in your own browser. No fees, no account.
Ad formats change daily. We work to block as much as possible, but no blocker can guarantee a 100% ad-free web.
Filters and features update automatically, and these Terms may be revised as the Extension evolves.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form the agreement between you and the publisher of Ad Blocker Pro (“we”, “us”) governing your use of the Ad Blocker Pro browser extension (the “Extension”) and this website. By installing, accessing or using the Extension, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not install the Extension — and uninstall it if it is already installed.
2. What the Extension does
Ad Blocker Pro is a browser extension that filters advertising and related content — banner ads, video ads, pop-ups and tracking requests — on web pages you visit, using filter rules processed inside your browser. A counter on the toolbar icon reports blocked items per page, and a one-click control lets you allow ads on individual sites of your choosing.
The Extension is currently developed and supported for Google Chrome and for Chromium-based browsers that install extensions from the Chrome Web Store. We do not warrant functionality on other browsers or on modified browser builds.
3. Your license
We grant you a free, personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use the Extension for its intended purpose: blocking unwanted content in your own browser. This license exists so you can use and enjoy the Extension as we provide it, within these Terms. You may not sell, resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the Extension or any part of it.
4. Acceptable use
When using the Extension, you agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Extension, except where such a restriction is prohibited by law;
- modify, tamper with or create derivative works of the Extension;
- use the Extension to violate any law, infringe the rights of others, or gain unauthorised access to services, networks or data;
- interfere with or disrupt the operation of our infrastructure, or circumvent its security or integrity measures;
- misrepresent the Extension, its origin or your affiliation with us.
5. Updates, changes and availability
The Extension updates its filter lists and configuration automatically, and new versions of the Extension itself are delivered through the Chrome Web Store. We may add, change or remove features at any time, and we may modify, suspend or discontinue the Extension or any related service, in whole or in part, without liability to you. Because blocking depends on third-party ad techniques that change constantly, results on a given website may vary over time.
6. Intellectual property
The Extension — including its code, filter rules, name, logo, shield mark, visual design and website content — is and remains the exclusive property of its publisher and licensors, protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership right to you. Third-party trademarks mentioned on this website belong to their respective owners, and their appearance does not imply affiliation or endorsement.
7. Third-party websites and services
The Extension operates on websites that we do not control. We are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of any third-party website, including sites whose ads are blocked or allowed by the Extension. Allowing ads on a site through the one-click control is your decision, and your use of that site remains subject to its own terms.
8. Privacy
Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: filtering happens on your device, the Extension has no accounts, and the limited telemetry we receive is keyed to a random installation identifier — not to your identity.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Extension is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In particular, we do not warrant that the Extension will block every advertisement or tracker, that it will be compatible with every website, or that it will operate uninterrupted and error-free. Some websites may display differently or restrict access when ad blocking is detected.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of — or inability to use — the Extension, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability shall be limited to the amount you paid us for the Extension — which, the Extension being free, is zero, or the smallest amount permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
11. Termination
You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Extension. We may suspend or terminate your license if you breach these Terms, or discontinue the Extension as described in section 5. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability — survive it.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Revisions are not retroactive; the current version, identified by the date at the top of this page, governs our relationship with you. For material changes we will take reasonable steps to inform you, for example through this website or a service notice. Continued use of the Extension after a revision takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the publisher of Ad Blocker Pro operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.
